Day 14 - Sunday, January 22, 2023
Philippians 1:6
“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
Today is the 2/3 mark of our 21 Day journey. During this time, we have taken breaks from social media, stopped watching TV, put away the gaming console, given up our favorite food, fasted meals. We have done all of this to prepare our hearts and make room for God to do Greater Things in 2023. Congratulations you are in the last stretch! During times of prayer and fasting, God begins new works.
Don’t let life be a merry-go-round. A merry-go-round has a lot of activity, but no movement. Allow God to use this time to begin something new in your life. A new habit, a new way to pray, a new ministry to serve in, a new vision to walk out. There is a saying, “the only thing that likes change is a baby and that’s only twice a day when it’s needed.” Greater things might require new works.
We can’t continue to do the same thing over and over again and expect something different (that’s the definition of insanity). We want God to do something greater in us and in our church, it will require God bring us to something new. But we can be confident when He brings its - He completes it. Greater Things type faith always stands on the shore of the unknown trusting God. The new work has begun! He will complete it!
