Day 12

Apr 19, 2024

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Sometimes believing in God’s word can be tough, believe me I know. Didn’t mean the play on words. This was a big deal, especially when I was 12. It is hard to really imagine, but it is true. At the beginning of the school year, 3 of my friends moved away, and I literally thought there was no way I was going to make it through junior high. I thought there was no hope.

What changed this for me was Jeremiah 29:11, which tells us that God has plans for us, and nothing is stopping Him from doing that. We can believe that he will use us and deliver us.

When we put our belief and trust in God, then he can use us in ways we could never ask, seek, or imagine. He will deliver and heal you. You just have to believe he will do it. 1 of the 2 things you can learn is you have to know that the God of Creation is bigger than you and is there even though you can’t see Him.

You also have to know that you are not perfect; you won’t be able to do everything, but God can. Where are some areas in your life where you need complete belief in God? Where do you need God the most? In your relationships, your school, your family. Maybe it is one; perhaps it is all of them?

Reflection: God has a plan even when I don't think he does, He is in control, and nothing will stop him from doing it. Let’s stop believing in the idols we see; instead, we should believe in the God who is in control.
