Day 20: Midnight Praise
In Acts 16, we see that Paul and Silas are arrested for casting a demon out of a young girl and preaching about Jesus. They are in the innermost part of the prison with their feet and hands fastened in chains. They are doing everything right and still find themselves in a moment of suffering. It was a day when they were doing everything for the Lord, and nothing went their way. When we live all out for Jesus and still find pain, sickness, people hurting us, finances struggling; what is our response? Paul and Silas begin to pray and sing hymns to God. They captured the attention of the prison. Their praise in the middle of problems was helping set prisoners free. There are seasons in our lives feel like midnight- dark, tired and stressed. However, a midnight praise is a breakthrough praise. If you feel like you are in a midnight hour let out a midnight praise. The praise in your pain just might help set prisoners free.
